GDRP

Within Europe a new law comes into effect on the 25th May 2018. The law's intention is to protect individuals online privacy. What this means is that the data collected by companies about you when you visit a website or use an app is your data and not the companies. The company must request if this data can be used or taken. You can change your mind at any time by informing the company.

We at Vape Juice Hut support this new legislation and take it very seriously. This article will run through your new rights and how it affects this website.

1. The Right to access.
This means you have the right to request any data a website/ app has of you and ask how this data is being used. If you would like to see the data we might have of you please use our contact form and we will get back to you ASAP. As a general rule, if you are not a member the only data we would have is your IP address and the browser type you accessed the site by. If you are a member we would also the details you entered when creating an account and details of any purchases you might have made.

2. The right to be forgotten.
This means you can request at any time the details a website/ app has about you to be removed. In practice this means if you have an account somewhere , then you have the right to close it and have your details removed from that service. If you would like to close an account on this site and have any details of you removed please use the contact form and you account will be either be fully removed if you have not made a purchase or fully anonymised if you have.

3. The right to data portability.
This means you can request the account details you have with a website/ app be given to you in a form that in theory could be used with another company to open an account. In practice this would mean in a CSV spreadsheet form. If you have an account with us and would like to have your account details provided to you in a spreadsheet form please use the contact us page and we will happily provide this for you.

4. The right to be informed.
This means you must to be informed by a website/ app that data will be collected whilst you are using the service at the first point of entry. On this website that means you will see a banner when you first visit the site advising that cookies will be placed on your browser. The banner will remain until you confirm your acceptance of this. This site requires certain cookies in order to function. A cookie is a small file that gets places on your pc which holds a small bit of information. These files can be removed at any time and are only needed whilst you are on the site.

The cookies we place on your browser are:
1. A session cookie - This lets the site know its you (the same person) on each page that you visit specifically needed if you add something to the cart or login.
2. A cookie consent cookie - confirms that you have agreed to cookies being placed on your Browser.
3. Atuvc - This is a 3rd party cookie from the  "AddThis social sharing site". You will see Share on Facebook (and other places) buttons on site. These are provided by this company.
4. Currency - This lets the site know what currency is being used.
5. Language - This lets the site know the language that is being used.

5. The right to have your information be corrected.
This is a simple one. If a website has incorrect information about you, you have the right to request they update their information. You can update your information at any point on this site by login into your account. Any info you update is instantly updated.

6. The right to restrict processing.
This means you can request at any time your data is not used. In practice this means that you can request your information is not used for marketing purposes. We do not use your details in this way but if in doubt please do use the contact us form and we can discuss this further.

7. The right to object.
This means and confirms that you have the right to object to your data being used. My interpretation of this is that you can and have the right to request your data is removed from a service. Please use the contact form if you would like to close your account and or if you would like any information we might have about you removed.

8. The right to be notified.
This means if a company is hacked and the hacker has potentially got your details, you have the right to be told within 72hrs of the event (Or I would think 72 hrs of the website/ company finding out about the breach). We will never try to hide a breach of data and whether this legislation existed or not, we would tell you straight away about and hacking or potential hacking so you can act to secure your data.
